Welcome to the Bacteroides Web Page

The role of The Bacteroides Webpage is to supply background and current research information about Bacteroides fragilis and other closely related bacteria.

If you are interested in learning more about Bacteroides, the "About Bacteroides" web page contains basic information about the Bacteroides fragilis group of bacteria. We hope this will serve as a useful tool for learning about these fascinating organisms.

If you already study Bacteroides then you can find an up to date listing of all of the genes from members of the B. fragilis group on the "DNA sequence" page; The list will be updated on a monthly basis. If we have missed any sequences please let us know.

At the present time, this is all that we intend to include in this web site. If you also study or are interested in Bacteroides, we welcome any comments or suggestions.

* I have included a page containing all of the updated DNA sequence links. Sorry about the delay.

PS: Please sign our guestbook so we can have an idea what the interests of people using this site are. Thank you.
